I'm probably one of the only people under the age of 65 who appreciates gin for what it is. My friends joke that is tastes like celery or lint. Weirrrddddos.
My drinks most ALWAYS consist of gin. After taking shot after shot of cheap vodka in college, my taste buds were ready for some new.... and a little more expensive (not too expensive) but you get the point.
I've compiled a list of great gin drinks you all must try that won't be too ginny.
These drinks are easy enough to make at home or to order at any bar/club.
Snoop said it best: Gin and Juice. Gin pairs well with any kind of juice. I personally prefer acidic juice like orange and grapefruit juice. π
Tom Collins: A classic. Start off by Combining gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup (or sugar) in a cocktail shaker. Add 1 cup ice, cover and shake until chilled. Strain into the chilled Collins glass. Top with club soda and garnish with a lemon wedge. πΉ
Gin Martini: Self explanatory Martini's usually consist of either gin or vodka. If you like that hard shit, this is for you. :) πΈ
Cucumber Gimlet: Cucumbers and gin are fucking amazing together, like peanut butter and jelly. π₯
Beeβs Knees: It's really the bees knees, Anything that involves honey is usually a great idea. π―
When all else fails I go with a simple: Gin & Tonic, splash of cran. π¦
